Tony's Truth: Sharia Finance is being funded and promoted by USA owned AIG.

Sharia Finance is being funded and promoted by USA owned AIG.

The insurance giant AIG (NYSE:AIG) recently went into federal receivership, making it into a ward of the U.S. government and, in effect, turning all American taxpayers into shareholders in the company. AIG is also aggressively marketing Shariah-compliant financial instruments in the United States. Since all American citizens are now interested parties, a lawsuite (click on link to read entire complaint) against AIG has been filed on their behalf. (1)

So, as one blogger put it,  Uncle Sam is becoming Uncle Shariah.  Now I personally have no problem with a independent, private business offering products that are designed for a specific religious or ethnic group, but I do take great offense at the United States Government promoting a specific religious based insurance instrument at tax payer expense.  This flies in the face of the First Amendment, and all Americans should be concerned.

The man chosen to administrate the "bail out" slush fund, Neel Kashkari - Interim Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Financial Stability, even spoke at the U.S. Department of Treasury Islamic Finance 101 seminar this year.  Our own government is hosting programs that promote and enable the philosophy that poses the greatest potential threat to America.

If you find this troubling, write your Senators and Congressman and demand they uphold the First Amendment and stop the promotion of Sharia law in the United States.
