Full Text of HR 45


Obama swore to defend the constitution from enemies both Foreign and Domestic.  Well we have a serious domestic threat to the Constitution already brewing.  House Resolution 45.   HR45 calls for the registration of not only firearms, but firearms owners!  This is a first step bill designed to get an accounting of all the law abiding gun owners in America, register them and tax them for exercising their Second Amendment Right to Bear Arms.

Earlier in the week I posted some very important quotes from the Founders.  (Read it HERE)  The Second Amendment was not designed to grant citizens a right to hunt, or use a firearm for "sporting" purposes.  It was clearly there to give the Citizen the right to defend himself from not only criminals, but from an oppressive or tyrannical government.  We have the right to revolution, and one of the prime guarantors of that right is our firearms.

This is not the only bill in committee right now that is a blatant run at our Constitution.  There are resolutions to serialize and register ammunition and ammunition sales, as well as a bill to remove the two term limitation placed on the Office of President.  There is the "Freedom of Choice Act" which really is the pro-abortion manifesto that removes all state and local rights to regulate abortion. 

Call your representatives and make sure they know you expect them to respect and defend the Constitution from both domestic and foreign enemies.
