The Clinton Years Greatest Triumph Gets Flushed by Obama

There is a great article in the National Review Online today.  The editors review the biggest bi-partisan victory of the 1990's: Welfare Reform. The current "stimulus" bill will reverse those proofen reforms and send us back to the 70's and 80's when states were rewarded for increasing the welfare rolls in their respective states.  This is tragic and a further indication that the political motivation for "sustainable power" is really more toward grabbing power and digging in.

Read the whole article here.   It is worth your time.

Welfare, as we know it, is a crippling, incentive sucking institution that rewards bureaucrats for keeping people on the rolls and punishes them for helping families and individuals move to personal responsibility and independence.  It is anti-American and poor policy.
