Big Stimulus Bang for the Buck

Obama's signature income tax reduction got cut...like that would have mattered anyway. Under the current plan individuals would see a $400 tax credit and couples would see an $800 tax credit starting around June. The savings will amount to about $13 a week on average.

Isn't that grand?

How about this:

  • $40 billion to provide extended unemployment benefits through Dec. 31 and increase them by $25 a week.
  • $20 billion to increase food stamp benefits by 14 percent.
  • $14 billion for one-time $250 payments to Social Security recipients and veterans receiving disability and pensions.
Who is paying for this? How about those of us who are working hard, sacrificing and saving?  This is the lazy grasshopper raiding the industrious ants stores and complaining that they protest the theft.

A hosing you can believe in... that is not giving me much hope... and the change is mostly coming out of my pocket...
